When Kristen, the Recreation Director of a local nursing home, had a Knabe Baby Grand Piano that was inoperable and taking up too much space, she called a number of piano dealers to remove it. Everyone wanted to charge for the service. When Kristen finally got hold of Sonny Stancarone, owner and CEO of Sonny's Piano TV Inc., an Internet company that buys and sells pianos online based in Holbrook N.Y., Sonny not only agreed to remove the piano free of charge, he also offered to replace the Knabe with a smaller upright piano and hold a free "Play Piano Instantly" Piano Yoga workshop for the nursing home patients and staff. Sonny plans to hold more workshops after the holidays. His reason for doing this was simple; "I've lived in L.I. all my life, and have taught piano and yoga for many years here." said Sonny "I wanted to give back to the community that has given so much to me."  This "Piano Man with a Heart" had his staff refurbish and refinish the Knabe and then decided to give it away in a "Win a Free Piano Contest"  he is holding on his company Facebook page at Facebook.com/SonnysPianoTV.

Sonny is running the contest because as he said "I wanted to complete the circle by giving away the piano that was given to us for free. I felt that it was the natural way to go. Pianos are healing and therapeutic, they promote health and wellbeing, and I felt this one should go to someone who really wants and needs it." Sonny's company, SonnysPianoTV.com, announced the "Win a Free Piano" contest on November 12th and it is currently running through December 17th. To enter the contest all someone needs to do is upload a video of themselves playing the piano or keyboard and get their friends to vote for them. The video that gets the most votes wins the Knabe, second place will win a Steinway and third place wins a player piano. Additional prizes include Sonny's Piano Yoga "Play Piano Instantly" DVD kit.
